First We Feast
First We Feast is an online food-culture magazine and YouTube channel. The site co-produces the YouTube series ''Hot Ones'' with Complex Media, its parent company. Description First We Feast began in 2012 as a food culture blog edited by Chris Schonberger, who had formerly worked for ''TONY''. The blog was an off-branch of Complex (magazine), Complex magazine. The website gained a measure of popularity, and began to incorporate interviews and cooking guides into its website. In 2014 the website launched its YouTube channel, which produces a number of food-related video series, most notably ''Hot Ones'', ''The Curry Shop'', ''The Burger Show'' (hosted by Alvin Cailan) and ''Burger Scholar Sessions'' (hosted by George Motz). Hot Ones
''Hot Ones'' is an American YouTube talk show, created by Christopher Schonberger and Sean Evans and produced by First We Feast and Complex Media. Its basic premise involves celebrities being interviewed by Evans over a platter of increasingly spicy chicken wings. Several spin-offs have been produced, including the game show ''Hot Ones: The Game Show'' on the cable television network TruTV, and ''Truth or Dab'', a truth or dare style competition that also airs on the First We Feast YouTube channel. As of September 2022, the show has produced nineteen seasons (with three seasons per calendar year since 2018). Most seasons produce between 10 and 16 episodes, though prior to 2018 there were longer seasons consisting of more episodes; approximately 40 episodes air per year. Alvin Cailan
Alvin Cailan (born 1983) is an American chef, author, and television host; of Filipino-American ethnicity. He is the host of First We Feast’s The Burger Show which airs on YouTube and Hulu. Cailan launched Eggslut, a food truck that specialized in egg sandwiches. The food truck quickly became popular and often had waits that stretched to two hours long. Eggslut has brick-and-mortar locations, including at Los Angeles' Grand Central Market and Venice, Glendale, and Las Vegas. Cailan was named the head chef of Umami Burger in 2021. George Motz
George Motz is an American television personality, historian, author and filmmaker. Motz directed a documentary film and has written books detailing the history of the hamburger in the United States. He hosted the Travel Channel show Burger Land from 2012 to 2013. He is a contributor for First We Feast with a series titled ''Burger Scholar Sessions''. Career Motz worked as a Director of Photography for WNET in New York. For his work he was a recipient of three Emmy Awards (one in 2000 and two in 2006).
