Metromover is a free mass transit automated people mover train system operated by Miami-Dade Transit in Miami, Florida, United States. Metromover serves the Downtown Miami, Brickell, Park West and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods. Metromover connects directly with Metrorail at Government Center and Brickell stations. It also connects to Metrobus with dedicated bus loops at Government Center and Adrienne Arsht Center station. The Security Building is a historic site in Miami, Florida. It is located at 117 Northeast 1st Avenue. On January 4, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building has 16 floors with a height of and was built from 1926 to 1927. History Construction for Dade County Security Company The ''Dade County Security Company'' was organized in 1901 and moved to a nearby headquarters in 1923. By the mid-1920s the company needed a larger headquarters. In 1921, the Dade County Security Company had acquired the McKinnon Hotel which occupied a mid-block parcel on Northeast 1st Avenue and renamed it the Security Hotel. 50 Biscayne is a fifty-seven story skyscraper condo in the Central Business District of Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. As its name implies, the tower is located at the address of 50 Biscayne Boulevard in between Flagler and Northeast 1st Streets. The size and stature of 50 Biscayne conceives a significant part of the Biscayne Wall, which is a series of buildings and parks stretching along the Biscayne Bay. Vizcayne (formerly known as "Everglades on the Bay") is an urban development in the City of Miami, Florida. It is located in northeastern Downtown Miami and consists of two residential skyscrapers, North Tower and the South Tower as well as a retail center. The buildings were topped out (reached full height) in 2007, and were completed in early 2008. They are located on Biscayne Boulevard between Northeast 2nd and 3rd Streets. The complex consists of two twin towers and the Everglades Plaza. Both towers are 538 ft (164 m) tall, and each has 49 floors. The Everglades Plaza is a retail and community center at the base of both towers, connecting both and occupying the entire city block. The main entrance to the plaza is on Biscayne Boulevard. The SunTrust International Center is a building in Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. It is located in the heart of the Central Business District, on Southeast 1st Street near 3rd Avenue. It is one block west of Biscayne Boulevard. The tower rises from a six-story parking pedestal, and consists of 31 floors. It is 125 m (375 ft) in height, which gives it a very low position on the list of tallest buildings in Miami. However, as the building opened in 1973, it appears in most photos of the Miami skyline, and is one of the more famous buildings in the city. However, since the completion of 50 Biscayne, the tower is obstructed if seen from Biscayne Bay. New World Tower
100 Biscayne, formerly known as New World Tower and 100 Biscayne Tower, is a thirty-story skyscraper in the Central Business District of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. 100 Biscayne also owns an adjacent 12-story mechanical parking garage that provides parking for its office tenants and its guests but also offers valet parking services for several nearby hotels and restaurants. The tower is tall and contains commercial space at street level. Floors two to four of the building house a data center, miami-connect, and the remaining 25 floors contain office space. Formerly, the upper nine floors contained luxury apartments.
