First Constituency For French Residents Overseas
The first constituency for French residents overseas (French: ''Première circonscription des Français établis hors de France'') is one of eleven constituencies representing French citizens living abroad. It was created by the 2010 redistricting of French legislative constituencies and elects, since 2012, one representative to the National Assembly. It represents all French citizens living in Canada and the United States. It is the most populous constituency of its kind, containing 231,328 registered French voters as of 2022. 2017 French Legislative Election
Legislative elections in France were held on 11 and 18 June 2017 (with different dates for voters overseas) to elect the 577 members of the 15th National Assembly of the Fifth Republic. They followed the two-round presidential election won by Emmanuel Macron. The centrist party he founded in 2016, La République En Marche!
