Fireworks (2017 Film)
, also known as ''Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?'' is a 2017 Japanese animated romance film based on Shunji Iwai's live-action television film of the same name. It received mixed reviews from critics who praised it for music and animation, but criticized the narrative and characterization. It is the sixth highest-grossing anime film of 2017 and has grossed over worldwide. It was released by Madman Entertainment, Anime Limited, and GKIDS. Plot Norimichi Shimada and Nazuna Oikawa live in the town of Moshimo (Japanese for "if"). The students make a bet regarding whether the fireworks are either round or flat in the sky. After finding a small glass marble, Nazuna, Norimichi, and Yusuke compete in the swimming pool race. Yusuke wins and Nazuna asks him to go on a date. Nazuna packs a suitcase and plans to leave home. Akiyuki Shinbo
is a Japanese animator, director, compositional writer, and storyboard artist. Best known for his works with Shaft (company), Shaft, he has attained international recognition for his unique visual style and storytelling methods. "Uchiage Hanabi" (; English title: "Fireworks") is a song by Daoko featuring Kenshi Yonezu released in August 2017. "Uchiage Hanabi" means "launching fireworks". The song is used for the 2017 anime film ''Fireworks'' and the album ''Thank You Blue''.
