Firdaus Orchestra is an initiative of Expo City Dubai, an all-women ensemble based out of the United Arab Emirates. The orchestra is named Firdaus (meaning 'paradise' in Arabic). Expo 2020 () was a World Expo hosted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates. Reem Al Hashimy
Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy () is an Emirati politician who is the Minister of State for International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (United Arab Emirates), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Education Al Hashimy completed her undergraduate degree at Tufts University, earning a BA in International Relations and French, followed by a Master's degree from Harvard University. She also holds a PhD from Tsinghua University.
