Finger Eleven (album)
''Finger Eleven'' is the third studio album by the Canadian rock band Finger Eleven from Burlington, Ontario. The sounds on this album range from grunge and prog-rock to Electric Six-style disco metal. Because of its commercial success, they were welcomed to the SnoCore 2004 tour. "One Thing" became the biggest single from this record, reaching 16 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It was also played consistently on rock radio and MTV. Some of the songs have been featured in various EA games including "Stay in Shadow" (''Burnout 3'') and "Good Times" ('' SSX3''). In a similar vein, "Other Light", "Conversations", and "Good Times" have all appeared in the GameCube game '' 1080° Avalanche''. During the recording of this album, there were rumors of the band breaking up. Finger Eleven then posted a cell-phone number for fans to call at any point, twenty-four hours a day, to talk to anyone in the group. Finger Eleven
Finger Eleven is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 1990. They have released seven studio albums (six as Finger Eleven and one as Rainbow Butt Monkeys), with their album ''The Greyest of Blue Skies'' bringing them into the mainstream. Their 2003 Finger Eleven (album), self-titled album achieved Gold status in the United States and Platinum in Canada, largely from the success of the single "One Thing (Finger Eleven song), One Thing", which marked the band's first placing on the US Hot 100 Chart at number 16. Their 2007 album, ''Them vs. You vs. Me'' launched the single "Paralyzer", which went on to top the Canadian Hot 100 and both US rock charts, as well as reaching No. 6 on the US Hot 100 and No. 12 on the Australian Singles Chart. ''Burnout 3: Takedown'' is a 2004 racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. It is the third instalment in the Burnout (series), ''Burnout'' series, which is characterised by fast-paced arcade racing. A staple of the series is the use of boost, earned through risky driving, to rapidly increase a car's speed. The central mechanic introduced in ''Burnout 3'' is Takedowns, which allow players to slam their opponents until they crash. Takedowns work in conjunction with the boost system by filling up and extending the boost meter. Aside from standard circuit races, the game features modes focused on performing Takedowns on rival vehicles and causing monetary damage at a junction occupied with traffic. The Pop 100 was a songs chart that debuted in February 2005 and was released weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States until its discontinuation in 2009. Alternative Airplay (formerly known as Modern Rock Tracks between 1988 and 2009, and Alternative Songs between 2009 and 2020) is a music chart published in the American magazine ''Billboard'' since September 10, 1988. It ranks the 40 most-played songs on alternative and modern rock radio stations. Introduced as Modern Rock Tracks, the chart served as a companion to the Mainstream Rock chart (then called Album Rock Tracks), and its creation was prompted by the explosion of alternative music on American radio in the late 1980s. During the first several years of the chart, it regularly featured music that did not receive commercial radio airplay anywhere but on a few modern rock and college rock radio stations. James Black (guitarist)
James Black (born August 31, 1975) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter and musician based in Toronto, Ontario. Black is best known for his role as the lead guitarist in the band Finger Eleven since 1990, and co-founder, guitarist, and singer of Blackie Jackett Jr. Black is also known for occasionally stepping in for Evanescence’s guitarist Troy McLawhorn. Additionally, he appears on "Gone" by Justin Nozuka, RZA, Kobra Khan, and himself, released on November 14, 2011.
