Findlay Grrrowl
The Michigan Grrrowl was a tier III Junior "A" ice hockey team and a member of the Midwest Junior Hockey League. The franchise was previously known as the NWO Grrrowl and Findlay Grrrowl Franchise history Findlay Grrrowl era The franchise was founded in 2008 as the Findlay Grrrowl based in Findlay, Ohio, United States at the Huntington Bank Arena at the Hancock Rec Center. The team was owned by Barry Soskin and Pat Pylypuik; while Dave Erickson served as head coach. The team was an inaugural member of the United Junior Hockey League (UJHL). The Grrrowl won the first and only UJHL Championship in the final game of the best-of-three final series with an OT win over the Jamestown Jets. Allen Park is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 27,528. Ford Motor Company is an integral part of the community. The Continental Hockey League (CnHL) is a defunct semi-professional ice hockey league which operated from 1972 to 1986. It is known as the predecessor to the All-American Hockey League, in which three teams ( Danville Dashers, Dayton Jets, and Troy Sabres) were charter members. College Hockey America
College Hockey America (CHA) was a college ice hockey conference in the United States. It participated in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The conference's final membership featured six women's teams, with three in Pennsylvania; two in New York, and one in Missouri. On April 30, 2024, CHA merged with the Atlantic Hockey Association to form Atlantic Hockey America in 2024–25. History The CHA was founded as a men's-only league in the 1999–2000 season. The Northern Junior Hockey League (NJHL) was an independent regional junior ice hockey league based in Jamestown, New York. The league operated from 2008 to 2010. The Midwest Junior Hockey League (MWJHL) was an American junior ice hockey league. The MWJHL were members of the United Hockey Union and sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The Jamestown Jets were an American junior ice hockey team based in Jamestown, New York. Originally members of the United Junior Hockey League and later the Northern Junior Hockey League.
