Final Curtain (film)
''Final Curtain'' was a 22-minute television pilot written and directed by Ed Wood in 1957. It starred Duke Moore as an actor wandering an empty theater after dark, where he is haunted by creepy sounds and eerie sights. The film is narrated by Dudley Manlove. Both Moore and Manlove also appear in Wood's cult film ''Plan 9 from Outer Space''. Wood had hoped to use the film as the pilot for a television series he intended to produce called ''Portraits of Terror.'' Some scenes where the actor explores the theater were later inserted into Wood's 1959 film, ''Night of the Ghouls'', with a voiceover narration designed to make it fit the story better. For years, the complete version of ''Final Curtain'' was considered a lost film, until a copy was discovered by Jason Insalaco, great-nephew of actor Paul Marco (who had appeared in several Ed Wood projects). The restored film was premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival The Slamdance Film Festival is an annual film festival focused on ...

Final Curtain (novel)

It was published in Britain by Collins and in the USA by Little, Brown. Although set in a large English country house, immediately after the 2nd World War, it is effectively one of Ngaio Marsh's crime stories with a theatrical setting, given that it concerns Alleyn's wife Agatha Troy accepting a commission to paint a portrait of the great actor Sir Henry Ancred in the role of Macbeth, onstage at the theatre of his ancestral home, Ancreton Manor, to be unveiled at his 70th birthday party, amongst his family, most of whom are actively involved in the London theatre, one way or another. The novel was well received and reviewed. Plot In 1946 England, with World War Two finally ended, the painter Agatha Troy awaits (not without trepidation, after a lengthy wartime separation) the return of her husband Roderick Alley ...

The Final Curtain (film)
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English.
