''Fin'' () is a 2023 Philippine mystery drama film written and directed by Ryan Machado in his directorial debut. The film starring Shun Mark Gomez, Bon Andrew Lentej, and Cedrick Juan is about a 16-year-old boy in 2001 who, while searching for his father in the most unlikely of places, becomes mystified by two movie-like characters who appear in his small town. Cedrick Juan
Paul Cedrick Gutierrez Juan (born June 26, 1990) is a Filipino theater, movie and television actor. He is best known for portraying the role of Fr. Jose Burgos in historical film ''GomBurZa'', and was awarded as the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor. Life and career Paul Cedrick Gutierrez Juan was born on June 26, 1990, in Santa Cruz, Manila. He grew up in Santa Maria, Bulacan. He is the second eldest among the eight siblings. Juan began his acting career in theater in 2008. His early acting stints include being part of the Dulaang UP at the University of the Philippines in Diliman from 2013 to 2016, and at the FEU-Art Theatre Clinique of the Far Eastern University. Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival
The Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, more commonly known as Cinemalaya, is a film festival in the Philippines held annually during the month of August, traditionally at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, but in recent years the Festival screenings also extend to various cinemas. Its aim is the development and promotion of Filipino independent films. The film festival is organized by the Cinemalaya Foundation, Inc. with the support of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Econolink Investments, Inc. Each year, the festival provides "seed investments" to the independent filmmakers who become the finalists of the festival's full-length category. 19th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival
The 19th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival was held from August 4 – 13, 2023 in Metro Manila, Philippines with the theme being “IlumiNasyon” (illumination). A total of ten full-length features and ten short films competed. The festival was opened by the film ''Where is the Lie?
