Film Pilihan Tempo () is an Indonesian film prize awarded each year by the magazine ''Tempo'' since 2000 as a year-end list. In 2017, the inaugural award ceremony was held, billed as ''Tempo'' Film Festival. History Indonesian magazine ''Tempo'' first introduced its Film Pilihan Tempo in 2000 to celebrate the achievements in Indonesian cinema. In 2010, it added new categories, including Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Actor. ''Tempo'' is an Indonesian weekly magazine that covers news and politics. It was founded by Goenawan Mohamad and Yusril Djalinus and the first edition was published on 6 March 1971. History New Order era On June 21, 1994, under the New Order of President Suharto, Information Minister Harmoko banned the publishing of ''Tempo'' magazine, along with two other weekly news magazines, ''Editor'' and ''DeTik'', citing them as a threat to national stability. In response to the ban, a number of journalists established the Alliance of Independent Journalists (Aliansi Jurnalis Independen). Publication of ''Tempo'' resumed following Suharto's departure from office in 1998. ''Autobiography'' is a 2022 internationally co-produced thriller drama film, written and directed by in his directorial debut. The film stars Kevin Ardilova and Arswendy Bening Swara. Ismail Marzuki Park, (Indonesian: Taman Ismail Marzuki, TIM), is an arts, cultural, and science center located at Cikini in Jakarta, Indonesia. Taman Ismail Marzuki complex comprises a number of facilities including six performing arts theaters, cinemas, exhibition hall, gallery, libraries and an archive building.
