Film4 is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned by Channel Four Television Corporation launched on 1 November 1998, dedicated to broadcasting films. The standard-definition channel is available on Freeview and Freesat platforms, while the high-definition variant is offered free on Freely, and as a pay television service on satellite and cable. The channel offered an online video on demand service, Film4oD, until it was closed in July 2015. John Polson (born 6 September 1965) is an Australian actor, director and founder of Tropfest. Polson is perhaps best known for his role starring opposite Russell Crowe and Jack Thompson in '' The Sum of Us'' (1994). In February 2001, Polson attended the 12th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in Hokkaidō, Japan, where his film ''Siam Sunset'' won the Minami Toshiko Award.
