Filippo Veglio
Filippo Veglio (born 21 March 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Career Veglio played his first and only Grand Slam in 1996, at the US Open, as a qualifier in the Men's Singles. He upset world number 57 Christian Ruud in the opening round and took the first set off Àlex Corretja, but lost in four. He was however most successful as a doubles player. In 1998 he teamed up with Barry Cowan at Chennai and the pair reached the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes. 1996 US Open – Men's Singles
Defending champion Pete Sampras defeated Michael Chang in the final, 6–1, 6–4, 7–6(7–3) to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1996 US Open. Sampras saved a match point en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Àlex Corretja. There, Sampras had a stomach bug and vomited during the fifth set, prompting a warning from the referee for delaying the match. He eventually won the fifth set in a tiebreak, 7–6(9–7). Cristiano Testa (born 23 September 1973) is a former professional tennis player from Brazil. He is also known as Testinha. Biography Testa, a left-handed player, represented Brazil's Junior Davis Cup team in 1989. Turning professional in 1993, Testa competed mostly on tour as a doubles specialist. Chris Woodruff (born January 3, 1973) is an American former professional tennis player and current head coach at the University of Tennessee. He won the 1997 Canada Masters, reached the quarterfinals of the 2000 Australian Open and attained a career-high ranking of world No. 29 in August 1997. He hails from Knoxville, Tennessee and was trained at the Knoxville Racquet Club. Justin Jeremy Gimelstob (born January 26, 1977) is a retired American tennis player. Gimelstob has been a resident of Morristown, New Jersey, and as of 2009 lived in Santa Monica, California.
