Filippo Crepaldi
Filippo Crepaldi (born 19 February 1992) is an Italian professional baseball pitcher for the Unipol Bologna of the Italian Baseball League. Crepaldi played for the Italy national baseball team at the 2010 World Junior Baseball Championship and for Team Europe at the 2015 edition of the Asia Winter Baseball League. He also pitched for his club team at the 2013 Asia Series. He was selected to represent Italy at the 2017 World Baseball Classic. The 2013 Asia Series was the seventh and final edition of the Asia Series, the premier Asian club baseball tournament, and the ninth time national champions from Asian leagues have competed against each other. The tournament was held in Taichung and Taoyuan, Taiwan, starting on 15 November with the final held on 20 November. Six national teams qualified to compete in baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo . As host, Japan automatically qualified. The 2017 World Baseball Classic (WBC) was an international professional baseball competition, composed of 16 competing nations, held from March 6 to March 22, 2017. It was the fourth iteration of the World Baseball Classic. The first-round hosts were Seoul, Tokyo, Miami, and Zapopan. The second-round hosts were Tokyo and San Diego, and the championship round was played in Los Angeles.
