Filippo Ambrosini
Filippo Ambrosini (born 26 April 1993) is an Italian pair skater. With his skating partner, Rebecca Ghilardi, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo champion, a five-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, and a five-time Italian national silver medalist (2019-2023). The pair has placed in the top ten at three European Championships and represented Italy at the 2022 Winter Olympics. With his former partner, Alessandra Cernuschi, Ambrosini finished in the top ten at two ISU Championships. Private life Ambrosini confirmed to Outsports that he is gay. Career Early years Ambrosini began learning to skate in 2001. Early in his career, he competed in singles. Rebecca Ghilardi (born 10 October 1999) is an Italian pair skater. With her skating partner, Filippo Ambrosini, she is the 2023 European silver medalist, 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo champion, a five-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, and a five-time Italian national silver medalist (2019-2023). The pair represented Italy at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Early years Ghilardi began learning to skate in 2007. Competing in ladies' singles, she became the Italian novice silver medalist in March 2013 and took the junior silver medal in December. She was coached by Tiziana Rosaspina. Ghilardi last appeared in ladies' singles in December 2015. 2011 NRW Trophy
The 2011 NRW Trophy was an international figure skating competition during the 2011–2012 season. An annual event organized by the Skating Union of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), it has been sanctioned by the Deutsche Eislauf Union and the International Skating Union since 2007. Figure skaters compete in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The competition was held in Dortmund, Germany in two parts. The Ice Dance Trophy, in which ice dancers competed at the senior, junior, and novice levels, was held from 4–6 November 2011. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship.
