Filipe Machado
Filipe José Machado (13 March 1984 – 28 November 2016) was a Brazilian footballer who last played for Chapecoense as a central defender. Machado was one of the victims when LaMia Airlines Flight 2933 crashed on 28 November 2016. Club career Born in Gravataí, Rio Grande do Sul, Machado represented Internacional as a youth but made his senior debut while on loan at Fluminense. He also played the first half of the 2005 season for Esportivo, again on loan. On 8 August 2006, Machado left for Spanish club Pontevedra CF in Segunda División B. He was an undisputed starter as his club finished first in its group, but failed to achieve promotion in the play-offs. In the summer of 2007 Machado joined Portuguese club U.D. Leiria, but after altercations with the club's manager, he left for Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia. Machado appeared in 37 matches for the club, contributing with 2 goals. Gravataí ( Tupi–Guarani: ''gravatá'', a kind of flower common in the region; ''y'', river.) is a Brazilian municipality near Porto Alegre at the Rio Grande do Sul State. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The Eternal derby of Bulgarian football or simply The Eternal derby ( bg, Вечното дерби) is the name of the local derby football match between the two most popular and successful football clubs in Sofia and Bulgaria: Levski Sofia and CSKA Sofia. The 2007 Segunda División B play-offs (Playoffs de Ascenso or Promoción de Ascenso) were the final playoffs for promotion from 2006–07 Segunda División B to the 2007–08 Segunda División. The four first placed teams in each of the four Segunda División B groups played the ''Playoffs de Ascenso'' and the four last placed teams in Segunda División were relegated to Segunda División B. It also decided the two teams which placed 16th to be relegated to the 2007–08 Tercera División. The top four placed teams from each group in the Segunda División B played in the ''Liguilla de Ascenso''. Each ''liguilla'' contained one team from each of the four regular season groups. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
