Fiksimini
Fiksimini (meaning "miniature fiction"), also spelled fiksi mini, is an Indonesian internet community based on Twitter in which followers or fans write flash fiction, short compositions to pique reader interest. Its participants are known as Fiksiminiers. History Fiksimini was founded by short story writers Clara Ng, Agus Noor, and Eka Kurniawan as a way for them to share and critique their work. Originally established on Facebook on 18 April 2010, it was later expanded to Twitter, where it found more of a following. Within several months, other writers, such as Ratih Kumala and Salman Aristo, joined, as did several entrepreneurs. By January 2011, when Fiksimini had a national conference in Jakarta, the community had self-organised chapters in Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Jakarta, and Bandung. , Fiksimini has 77,000 followers, with 400 staff and facilitators. Salman Aristo
Salman Aristo (born 1976) is an Indonesian screenwriter and film director best known for his work on '' Ayat-Ayat Cinta'', ''Laskar Pelangi'', '' Garuda di Dadaku'', and '' Sang Penari''. Born in Jakarta, Aristo became interested in films from a young age, though he did not consider a career in the industry until after graduating from university. At the suggestion of a friend, he wrote his first screenplay, ''Tak Pernah Kembali Sama''. With feedback on the script from director Rudy Soedjarwo and after a period reading old, successful scripts, Aristo – at the time a film reviewer for a magazine – was able to befriend Hanung Bramantyo, who asked him to write a script about brownies. Clara Ng
fromClara Ng (last name pronounced ; ; born 28 July 1973) is an Indonesian writer who is known for both adult fiction and children's literature. During her childhood in Jakarta, Ng enjoyed reading and read at an advanced rate. After finishing her primary and secondary education in Indonesia, during which time she took up writing, Ng went to the United States to study at Ohio State University. After her graduation in 1997, she worked in the US for a year before returning to Indonesia to work at a shipping company. After three years working there, in which time she married and had two miscarriages, Ng quit to become a professional writer. Her trilogy ''Indiana Chronicle'' was well received. A virtual community is a social network of individuals who connect through specific social media, potentially crossing geographical and political boundaries in order to pursue mutual interests or goals. Some of the most pervasive virtual communities are online communities operating under social networking services. Howard Rheingold discussed virtual communities in his book, ''The Virtual Community'', published in 1993. The book's discussion ranges from Rheingold's adventures on The WELL, computer-mediated communication, social groups and information science. A hashtag is a metadata tag that is prefaced by the hash (also known as pound or octothorpe) sign, ''#''. On social media, hashtags are used on microblogging and photo-sharing services such as Twitter or Instagram as a form of user-generated tagging that enables cross-referencing of content by topic or theme. For example, a search within Instagram for the hashtag ''#bluesky'' returns all posts that have been tagged with that term. After the initial hash symbol, a hashtag may include letters, numerals, or underscores. Indonesian literature is a term grouping various genres of South-East Asian literature. Indonesian literature can refer to literature produced in the Indonesian archipelago.
