Gareth Rees (rugby Union)
Gareth Lloyd Rees (born 30 June 1967) is a Canadian former international rugby union footballer who played at fly-half and full back positions. Rees played for several British club sides, including Wasps and Harlequins. He won 55 caps for Canada, captaining them on 23 occasions and scoring 487 test points. In October 2011, Rees received arguably his greatest honour with induction to the IRB Hall of Fame. He and fellow 2011 inductee Brian Lima of Samoa are the first members of the IRB Hall from nations outside of the traditional top tier of the sport. Rugby career Rees was born in Duncan, British Columbia, to Alan Rees who had emigrated to Canada from Wales, and was himself a former rugby union footballer having represented Cross Keys, Maesteg and London Welsh. Gheorghe Ion
Gheorghe Ion (born 27 July 1960) is a Romanian former rugby union international active in the 1980s and 1990s. He is the father of rugby player Adrian Ion. Ion, a hooker, was known by the nickname "Tarzan". He started playing rugby union at Bucharest School Sports Club and had a long association with CS Dinamo București. Internationally, Ion featured in 38 Test matches, which included a stint as captain. He scored Romania's only try in a famous win over Wales at Cardiff Arms Park in 1988. Tomasi Rabaka
Tomasi Mawi Rabaka (5 December 1965 in Tailevu – 24 June 2017 in Nadi) was a Fijian rugby union player who played as a fly-half. His brother is Samisoni Rabaka, who was also a Fijian international. Career Born in the Waikete village, in Tailevu, Rabaka is the fourth child in a family of 11. He started his rugby career playing for the St.Mary's Rugby Club in Nadi, before he joined Brothers Rugby Club in Votualevu. In 1992, he also played for Nadi Cavaliers. For the Fiji national team, he first played during a test match against Samoa, in Apia, on 1 June 1991. Opeti Turuva (born Nadi, 8 June 1967) is a Fijian former rugby union player. He played as Fullback. Career His first international cap for Fiji was during a test match against Hong Kong, at Hong Kong, on 5 December 1990. Stade Lesdiguières
Stade Lesdiguières is a multi-purpose stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium holds 12,000 spectators (8,500 seated). It is the home of the FC Grenoble rugby union club. The name of the stadium was given in honor of François de Bonne, Duke of Lesdiguières, died in 1626. The Stadium is made up of 5 stands, the largest of which is the Tribune Présidentielle to the south. The Tribune Tennis is on the east side, so called because it is next to a tennis club, and is the only stand which is uncovered. On the north side there are the Tribune Nord and Tribune Alberto stands, which lie adjacent to each other. History France hosted the 1972 Rugby League World Cup and Stade Lesdiguières was the venue for one match between the home team and Great Britain. Pita Naruma (born 27 November 1959) is a Fijian former rugby union player. He played as flanker. Career He played for Suva in the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy between 1988 and 1991, along the likes of Koli Rakoroi, Salacieli Naivilawasa, Ilikimi Torosi, Peni Rakai, Nemani Matirewa, Aisake Nadolo, Mosese Taga, Tomasi Cama, Pauliasi Tabulutu and Alifereti Dere. Didier Camberabero (born 9 January 1961), is a former French international rugby union player. He played as fly half. Biography Camberabero is a son of the former international, Guy Camberabero, and the nephew of Lilian Camberabero, two brothers who took part in the first Grand Slam won by France. His brother, Gilles, is also an outstanding rugby player. Didier is the third highest point scorer for the French international team, with 354 points in 36 tests match, behind Christophe Lamaison (380 pts in 37 tests) and Thierry Lacroix (367 points in 43 tests). Didier also previously set a world record for the greatest number of points on only one match in team of France: 30, against Zimbabwe in 1987. Philippe Sella
Philippe Sella (born 14 February 1962, in Tonneins) is French former rugby union player. He started as a rugby league junior in his home town before switching to rugby union. As a former French rugby union player, he held the record for most international appearances until beaten by Jason Leonard. He became a member of the International Rugby Hall of Fame in 1999, and the IRB Hall of Fame in 2008. Sella joined Saracens in 1996 from French side Agen. He and Australian Michael Lynagh were the catalysts for Saracens as they made the transition into the professional era, and Sella's presence helped other players make up their minds about joining the up-and-coming club. Jean-Baptiste Lafond (born 29 December 1961 in Bègles, France) is a former French rugby union footballer. He played for the French national team on over 30 occasions. His usual position was either on the wing or at fullback. He made his debut for France against Australia in 1983 in Clermont Ferrand, which ended in a 15-all draw. He played in numerous Five Nations Championships, and was a part of the French squad at the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
