Noke Wangnao (1937 – 28 August 2023), also known as Papa Noke, was an Indian politician from Nagaland. He was elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly nine times from the Tapi Assembly constituency in 1974, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1989, 2003, 2013, 2018, and 2023. Salhoutuonuo Kruse (; born 1967) is an Indian politician from Nagaland. In 2023, She along with Hekani Jakhalu Kense became the first women from Nagaland to be elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. She was sworn in as a Minister of Women Resource Development & Horticulture in the 5th Rio ministry, making her the first female Minister in the history of the Indian state of Nagaland.
