Ffostrasol is a small village in the south of Ceredigion, Wales. It is located on the A486 between Synod Inn and Llandysul, and it forms part of the parish of Troedyraur. The village lies on a rural crossroad connecting it with the nearby village of Plwmp to the north, Synod Inn to the north east, Newcastle Emlyn to the south west, and Llandysul to the south east. The Ceredigion League (known as ''The Costcutter Ceredigion League'' for sponsorship purposes) is a Welsh football league for the county of Ceredigion. It is at the fifth to seventh levels of the Welsh football league system. It was founded in 1921 as the Cardiganshire League in Lampeter. 2023–24 Welsh Cup
The 2023–24 FAW Welsh Cup was the 136th season of the annual knockout tournament for competitive football teams in Wales. The winners qualified for the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League first qualifying round. The New Saints were the defending cup holders (for the third consecutive season). Connah's Quay Nomads won the cup on 28 April 2024 (their second Welsh Cup win), defeating The New Saints 2–1 in the final. The Mond Cup is a cup competition in Welsh football organised by the West Wales Football Association. History The competition was established in 1923 and is considered to be one of the oldest domestic cup competition for Welsh football clubs, after the more well known and prestigious Welsh Cup. Unlike the Welsh Cup, where 135 teams entered in 2008–09, the competition is only open to the members of the West Wales Football Association. It was named after Sir Alfred Mond who is believed to have funded the establishment of the competition. Format The format has changes many times over the years.
