Fetish art is art that depicts people in fetishistic situations such as S&M, domination/submission, bondage, transvestism and the like, sometimes in combination. A dominatrix ( ; or dominatrices ), or domme, is a woman who takes the dominant role in BDSM activities. The BDSM practice is called female dominance, or femdom. Touko Valio Laaksonen (8 May 1920 – 7 November 1991), known by the pseudonym Tom of Finland, was a Finnish artist who made stylized highly masculinized erotic art, and influenced late 20th-century gay culture. Donald Merrick (August 11, 1929 – October 14, 1990), better known by his pen name Domino, was an American artist active in the mid to late twentieth century. He is best known for his erotic male illustrations. Biography Merrick was born in Crosby, Minnesota on August 11, 1929. After graduating high school, he spent several years working his way across the country, including as a logger near Mount Rainier, a cab driver in Chicago, a forester in New Mexico, and a U.S. Navy serviceman. Joaquin Alberto Vargas y Chávez (9 February 1896 – 30 December 1982) was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls. George Brown Petty IV (April 27, 1894 – July 21, 1975) was an American pin-up artist.
