Ferry Monster Autosport
Ferry Monster Autosport is a Dutch auto racing team based in Numansdorp, Netherlands. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2016. Having previously raced in the Dutch Supercar Challenge and the Legend SuperCup amongst others. Dutch Supercar Challenge Having raced in the 2014 Legend SuperCup, the team switched to the 2015 Dutch Supercar Challenge entering a SEAT León Cup Racer for Dutch drivers Dennis Houweling & Priscilla Speelman. Houweling finished 5th in the Supersport/Sport standings after doing a full season, while Speelman finished 13th after only a partial season. For 2016 the team entered Dutch drivers Dennis de Borst & Martin de Kleijn for the season, still using a SEAT León Cup Racer. The Supercar Challenge is a motor racing series centered on the Benelux. A special feature is that touring cars, GTs and Sportscars can all participate on an equal basis within the same class, enabled by very open regulations. The championship was first held in 2001, after replacing the Supercar Cup. From 2001 to 2011 the championship was called the Dutch Supercar Challenge, but due to interest from drivers, teams and tracks outside the Netherlands the organisers decided to drop 'Dutch' from its name on 11 February 2012. Format and regulations A typical race weekend exists of the usual practice on Friday and Saturday, qualifying on Saturday and two races of 45 to 60 minutes with one pit stop of at least 60 seconds. One race is on Saturday and one Sunday. The four classes usually run separate races two classes at a time. The two fastest run together and the two slowest run their race separate. The 2015 Supercar Challenge powered by Pirelli was the fifteenth Supercar Challenge season since it replaced the Supercar Cup in 2001. The 2014 Legend SuperCup season was a legends car racing series that started over 25–27 April in Portimão, Portugal and ended over 17–19 October at the TT Circuit Assen, Netherlands. Legend SuperCup (LSC) was a part of Acceleration 2014, a series of festivals combining top class car and bike racing with music and entertainment. Next to LSC, there was the Formula Acceleration 1, based on the former A1 Grand Prix, the MW-V6 Pickup Series, based on the former Dutch racing series BRL V6, and the European Stock 600 and 1000 Series, which featured motorcycle racing for 15- and 16-year-olds. The 2016 TCR International Series was the second season of the TCR International Series. Stefano Comini successfully defended his title, beating his nearest challenger James Nash by 2.5 points. Craft-Bamboo Racing were crowned teams' champions beating Leopard Racing with 73 points margin, while Seat Léon TCR won the models' championship. Numansdorp
Numansdorp is a town and former municipality in the province South Holland in the Netherlands and is located on the island Hoeksche Waard near the Hollands Diep. On 1 January 1984, the municipalities Numansdorp and Klaaswaal were merged into one municipality called Cromstrijen. Cromstrijen was merged into the new municipality Hoeksche Waard in January 2019. History Numansdorp was founded in 1642. The village was built in the Numanspolder. It took a while till the embankment of this polder was started. The reason for the delay was a disagreement between the Lords of Cromstrijen and the owners of Zuid-Beijerland. When the founding of the village had finally taken place, it still didn't have an official name, even though the locals called it Buitensluis. TCR International Series
The TCR International Series was an international touring car championship. The championship was promoted by World Sporting Consulting (WSC), founded by former World Touring Car Championship manager Marcello Lotti. It was marketed as a cost-effective spin-off of the WTCC, targeted at C-segment hatchbacks production-based touring cars. The title TCR follows the naming convention now used by the FIA to classify the cars that compete in touring car racing, with TC1 referring to the top tier as used by the FIA WTCC and TC2 referring to the legacy cars which principally compete in the FIA ETCC.
