Alessandra Ferri
Alessandra Ferri OMRI (born 6 May 1963) is an Italian prima ballerina. She danced with the Royal Ballet (1980–1984), American Ballet Theatre (1985–2007) and La Scala Theatre Ballet (1992–2007) and as an international guest artist, before temporally retiring on 10 August 2007, aged 44, then returning in 2013.She has been referred to by some publications as a ''prima ballerina assoluta''. Career Alessandra Ferri was born in Milan, Italy. She began studying ballet at the La Scala Theatre Ballet School, later transferring to the upper school of the Royal Ballet School. Giacomo Ferri
Giacomo Ferri (born 20 January 1959) is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a defender. He is the brother of Riccardo, who was also a former player. He is nicknamed ''Big Jim''. Club career Ferri began his playing career for Frassati in Lombardy, before he transferred to Crema in IV Serie. At age 16, he debuted for the first team where he made eight appearances. He then transferred to Torino, where he passed through the youth ranks and the Primavera. In 1978, he moved to Reggio Calabria where with Reggina he disputed three seasons in Serie C1. He returned to Torino in 1981 where he remained until relegation in 1989, when he moved to Lecce. He accumulated 264 appearances and scored 4 goals in Serie A. Linda Ferri (born 1957 in Rome) is an Italian author and screenwriter. Early life Linda Ferri was born in Rome to an American mother and Italian father. However, she spent most of her early years in Paris, France. Ferri graduated with a degree in political science, in Paris. Subsequently, she studied Philosophy at Columbia University in New York. She later graduated with a degree in philosophy of history in Florence, Italy. Ferri worked numerous years in the writing industry, publishing work as a translator and editor of foreign literature. Jakup Ferri (born 1981) is a contemporary artist from Amsterdam, Netherlands and Pristina, Kosovo. He is a professor at Pristina Art Academy and guest advisor at Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. Jakup Ferri (c.1832 – 4 December 1879) was an Albanian warrior from Plav-Gusinje who served as a local leader in the League of Prizren's resistance during the Principality of Montenegro's attempt to subjugate his homeland in 1879. He was distinguished in the Battle of Novšiće, where he died. Family He was born in 1832 to an ethnic Albanian family in Plav. His father Ferr Duri descended from the Kuči tribe. His great-great-grandfather Gjergj Prentashi with his brother had left Kuči for Podgorica and then settled in Plav, where they converted to Islam.
