Benjy Ferree
Benjy Ferree is a singer/songwriter from Prince George's County, Maryland. He currently resides in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. Following "Leaving the Nest," an EP of six songs released jointly by Box Theory and Planaria Records in October 2005, Ferree signed with Domino Records US/UK. They added four new songs to the original EP and released Ferree's full-length debut album - also entitled ''Leaving the Nest'' - in late 2006. In February 2009, Domino USA released Ferree's 2nd full-length album, "Come Back to the Five and Dime Bobby Dee Bobby Dee." Domino UK released the album worldwide in December 2009. Live, Ferree plays a Fender Telecaster and KORG SV-1, as well as a Little Phatty, moogerfoogers, Polyevolver, and a moog theremin plus. Jim Ferree
Purvis Jennings "Jim" Ferree (born June 10, 1931) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Senior PGA Tour. Born in Pinebluff, North Carolina, Ferree grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from Reynolds High School. He learned the game of golf from his father, Purvis, long-time pro at Winston-Salem's Old Town Golf Club. Ferree played college golf at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Following service in the U.S. Army, he turned professional in late 1955. Ferree had one PGA Tour win during his regular career years. He was regarded as one of the very best in the game in the tee-to-green ball-striking phase of the game, but putting was always his weakness. He spent most of his thirties and forties as the director of golf at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Ferree was later a club pro and joined the Senior PGA Tour at age fifty in 1981. Myra Marx Ferree
Myra Marx Ferree (born October 10, 1949) is a former professor of sociology and director of the Center for German and European Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she was also a member of the Women's Studies Program. In 2005 she was a Berlin Prize Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin and in 2004 the Maria-Jahoda Visiting Professor at the Ruhr University Bochum. Ferree retired in 2018. Life Ferree attended Harvard University where she obtained a PhD in social psychology and social relations in 1976. Susan Frances Nelson Ferree
Susan F. Ferree (, Nelson; January 14, 1844 - September 6, 1919) was an American journalist and social reformer from Iowa. Ferree served as a Washington, D.C. newspaper correspondent. She favored women's suffrage and women's rights; she also affiliated with the Woman's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU). Ferree died in 1919. Biography Susan Frances Nelson was born in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, January 14, 1844. Her parents were Frances S. Wray Nelson and John S. Nelson, who was a lineal descent of Thomas "Scotch Tom" Nelson, the founder of Old York, Virginia. His oldest son, William Nelson, was at one time president of the king's council. William's oldest son, Thomas Nelson Jr., was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and the war governor of Virginia. At the age of one year she, with her parents removed to Keokuk, Iowa, which was her home for many years.
