Ferrari F2012
The Ferrari F2012 is a Formula One racing car designed by Scuderia Ferrari for the 2012 Formula One season. The chassis was designed by Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis and Nicolas Hennel with Luca Marmorini leading the engine and electronics design. The car was launched on 3 February at Ferrari's facility in Maranello. The car, which was driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, made its debut at the first pre-season test at Jerez. Design Like most 2012-specification cars, the F2012 featured a 'stepped nose' to conform to new FIA safety regulations. The F2012 featured a pullrod front suspension, which had not been seen in Formula One since the 2001 Minardi PS01 and Arrows A22 cars. A pullrod rear suspension was also introduced. A V8 engine is an eight- cylinder piston engine in which two banks of four cylinders share a common crankshaft and are arranged in a V configuration. The Arrows A22 was the car with which the Arrows team competed in the Formula One season. It was driven by Jos Verstappen, who was in his second year with the team, and Enrique Bernoldi, a rookie who brought sponsorship from Red Bull, at the expense of Pedro de la Rosa who was unexpectedly dropped shortly before the season started. Minardi PS01
The Minardi PS01 (unofficially known as European Minardi PS01) was the car with which the Minardi team competed in the Formula One season. It was initially driven by Tarso Marques, who returned to the team after last driving an F1 car in , and Fernando Alonso, a rookie who had graduated from Formula 3000 and was in a long-term contract to Flavio Briatore's driver management scheme. The PS01 marked a new beginning for Minardi. The chassis designation referred to the fact that it was the first car to be raced under the ownership of Paul Stoddart, who had bought the team from the terminally-ill Gabriele Rumi only two months before the first race of the season. Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (formerly known as Circuit of Jerez and Circuito Permanente de Jerez), is a racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, south of Seville and deep within the sherry-producing region in the south of Spain. Maranello ( Modenese: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy, 18 km from Modena, with a population of 17,504 as of 2017. It is known worldwide as the home of Ferrari and the Formula 1 racing team, Scuderia Ferrari. Maranello was also home to coachbuilding firm Carrozzeria Scaglietti, owned by Ferrari. 2012 Formula One Season
The 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 66th season of FIA Formula One motor racing.
