Fern Mallis (born March 26, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York) was the executive director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) from 1991 to 2001, and created 7th on Sixth productions or New York Fashion Week as it is known today. Fern Kinney (born Fern Kinney-Lewis, July 11, 1949) is an American R&B and disco singer, who is best remembered for her releases, " Groove Me" and "Together We Are Beautiful". Career Born in Jackson, Mississippi, United States, Kinney originally sang in The Poppies with Dorothy Moore. In the early 1970s, she began working as a session musician and backing vocalist. Among the songs she sang on were King Floyd's " Groove Me", and her former "Poppie" bandmate Dorothy Moore's 1976 Top 10 single, " Misty Blue". Fern Jones (1923–1996) was an American singer from Arkansas who blended traditional gospel music with elements of country and rockabilly. Jones got married at 16 to Ray Jones, and with her husband she toured the Southern revival circuit. The only album she ever recorded was ''Singing a Happy Song'', released in 1959 on Dot Records. Fern Yvette Hunt (born January 14, 1948) is an African American mathematician known for her work in applied mathematics and mathematical biology. She currently works as a researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where she conducts research on the ergodic theory of dynamical systems. Fern Leona Holland (August 5, 1970 – March 9, 2004) was an American lawyer who was killed in the Iraq conflict that began in 2003. Fern Hobbs (May 8, 1883 – April 10, 1964) was an American Lawyer, attorney in the U.S. state of Oregon, and Private Secretary to Governor of Oregon, Oregon Governor Oswald West. She was noted for her ambition and several accomplishments as a young woman, and became the highest-paid woman in public service in America in her mid-twenties.
