Ferit Zekolli
Ferit Zekolli (born 19 February 1951) is a Kosovan former professional basketball player who played as a Center (basketball), center. He is considered to be one of the best Albanians, Albanian basketball players during his time. Since 2021, he is the vice-president of KB Prishtina, Prishtina. Early life Zekolli was born in Maxhunaj, a village located in the municipality of Vushtrri, to ethnic Albanians, Albanian parents. He finished his school in Mitrovicë where he started playing basketball for the first time. Career Trepça Zekolli started his professional career in 1970 with KB Trepça, Trepça where he played until 1972. Zadar In 1977–78 Yugoslav First Basketball League, 1977–78, Zekolli played for KK Zadar, Zadar. He had to leave after just one season due to an injury. Kosovo Basketball Superleague
The Kosovo Basketball Superleague (Albanian: Superliga e Kosovës në Basketboll) and known as the ProCredit Superliga due to sponsorship reasons is the top men's professional basketball league in Kosovo. Basketball Superleague was founded in 1991. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo. Prishtina holds the record for most Superleague titles as it has won the championship 14 times. Current teams Rules Competition format It consists of eight to ten teams which compete each year in two separate phases. Each team has to play all the other teams in its division four times, twice at home and twice away. This means that in Kosovo basketball, the league's regular season ends after all teams play 28 matches.
