Ferhat Tunc
Ferhat is a Turkish given name and the common Turkish spelling of the Persian name Ferhad (, ''farhād'') although other spellings are also used but are a lot less common. It is also an Arabic name which is popular among Maghreb countries, the name might be derived from the word "ferah" which means "joy." Therefore, Ferhat can be interpreted as "joyful" or "happy." Ferhat Mehenni ( Kabyle: Ferḥat Mhenni; born March 5, 1951) is a Kabyle politician, writer, protest singer, musician and songwriter, founder and first President in June 5, 2001 of the Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylia (MAK) renamed in October 4, 2013 to Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylia. He has been President of the Kabyle Provisional Government since June 1, 2010. In 2012, Mehenni was subjected to controversy after visiting Israel, where he voiced his support and solidarity for Israel, comparing it to Kabylia. In 2021, Mehenni's organization, MAK, has been classified as a terrorist organisation in Algeria after claims from the Algerian authorities saying that MAK members were planning car bombs. Ferhat Kiraz (born 2 January 1989) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a left winger. Kiraz is also a youth international, capped at the U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 levels. Early life and club career Kiraz was born 2 January 1989 in the town of Bozkır in Konya Province. The same year he was born, his father moved to Austria for work. Ferhat Kaya (born 11 March 1986) is a Belgian professional footballer of Kurdish descent who plays as a goalkeeper for Belgian Division 3 club Beringen. Career Kaya was born in Beringen, Belgian Limburg, and started playing football at the Westerlo youth academy. Via Verbroedering Geel, he moved to the PSV Eindhoven academy in 2003.
