Ferhat Mehenni
Ferhat Mehenni ( Kabyle: Ferḥat Mhenni; born March 5, 1951) is a Kabyle politician, writer, protest singer, musician and songwriter, founder and first President in June 5, 2001 of the Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylia (MAK) renamed in October 4, 2013 to Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylia. He has been President of the Kabyle Provisional Government since June 1, 2010. In 2012, Mehenni was subjected to controversy after visiting Israel, where he voiced his support and solidarity for Israel, comparing it to Kabylia. In 2021, Mehenni's organization, MAK, has been classified as a terrorist organisation in Algeria after claims from the Algerian authorities saying that MAK members were planning car bombs. Mehenni was arrested by the French authorities and placed in police custody in 2021 as part of an investigation into organised money laundering in relation to sports betting. Ferhat Abbas (; ALA-LC: ; 24 August 1899 – 24 December 1985) was an Algerian politician who acted in a provisional capacity as the then yet-to-become independent country's Prime Minister from 1958 to 1961, as well as the first President of the National Assembly and the first acting Chief of State after independence. An influential figure in the Young Algerians, Abbas initially advocated for equal political rights for Algerian Muslims in France and for the granting of French citizenship for Algerian Muslims. Ferhat Encü (born 5 August 1985) is a Kurds, Kurdish politician and former member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Turkish Parliament in the Şırnak Province. Encü is well known for a speech that he gave on the floor of the Parliament in Ankara. In his speech, Encü criticized the Turkish government for their alleged violence and mistreatment of the Kurds. After delivering the speech, Encü was arrested and stripped of his parliamentary immunity. Early life Encü was born on August 5, 1985, in the village of Gülyazı, Uludere, Gülyazı in Uludere district of the Şırnak Province in Turkey. Ferhat Arıcan
Ferhat Arıcan (born 28 July 1993) is a Turkish artistic gymnast. He represented Turkey at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. At the 2020 Olympic Games he became the first Turkish gymnast to win an Olympic medal, winning bronze on the parallel bars. Personal life Arıcan was born in Konak, İzmir in 1993. He took up gymnastics when he was 9–10 years old. He studied sports administration at Ege University. Ferhad Pasha Sokolović (, sr-cyrl, Ферхад-паша Соколовић, Ferhad-paša Sokolović) (died 1590) was an Ottoman general and statesman from Bosnia. He was the last sanjak-bey of Bosnia and first beylerbey of Bosnia. Ferhat Kaya (born 11 March 1986) is a Belgian professional footballer of Kurdish descent who plays as a goalkeeper for Belgian Division 3 club Beringen. Ferhat Bey Draga (1880–1944) was a noted Kosovo Albanian politician during the Balkan Wars and World War I and Axis collaborator during World War II. Ferhat Görgülü (born 28 October 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer of Turkish descent who plays as a defender for İnegölspor in the Turkish TFF Second League. Career Görgülü was born in Veendam, Groningen, Netherlands to parents of Turkish origin.
