Fenestella (animal)
''Fenestella'' is a genus of bryozoans or moss animals, forming fan–shaped colonies with a netted appearance. It is known from the Middle Ordovician to the early Upper Triassic (Carnian), reaching its largest diversity during the Carboniferous. Many hundreds of species have been described from marine sediments all over the world. Etymology ''Fenestella'' is Latin, meaning little window, from fenestra "window", for the window-like openings in the mesh of the skeleton of its colonies. Description The skeleton of ''Fenestella'' colonies consists of stiff branches that are interconnected by narrower crossbars (or dissepiments). Between two and eight individuals of the colony inhabit each of the opposing front sides of the approximately rectangular openings between the branches (or fenestule) in one row, and the void they left when they died can be recognized as two rows of small rimmed pores (or apertures) on the front of each branch. Couvin
Couvin (; ) is a municipality and city of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2018 the municipality had 13,782 inhabitants. Couvin is the second largest municipality of Belgium by surface area, after Tournai. The total area is , giving a population density of . The municipality consists of the following districts: Aublain, Boussu-en-Fagne, Brûly, Brûly-de-Pesche, Couvin, Cul-des-Sarts, Dailly, Frasnes-lez-Couvin, Gonrieux, Mariembourg, Pesche, Petigny, Petite-Chapelle, and Presgaux. Transport Couvin railway station provides the town with a rail link direct to Charleroi. The line terminates here; the next station is Mariembourg. Tourism There are a number of sites of interest to tourists in the municipality. One end of the Chemin de Fer à vapeur des Trois Vallées heritage railway is at Mariembourg.
