Felix Friedrich
Felix Friedrich (born 1945) is a German organist, church musician and musicologist. Life Friedrich was born in 1945 in Hochweitzschen near Döbeln. He studied church music and organ in Dresden and Weimar. In 1976 he was appointed organist at the organ of Tobias Heinrich Gottfried Trost of the . An extensive concert activity led him so far into all European countries as well as into the former USSR and into the USA. He has performed with great success at international music festivals: Salzburg Festival, International Congress of Organists in Cambridge, AGO-Convention Detroit among others. Numerous radio, television and disc recordings were produced with him. So far he has released over 80 CDs. He is particularly committed to Neue Musik and has given over 50 world premieres. Jörg Herchet
Jörg Herchet (born 20 September 1943) is a German composer. Life Born in Dresden, Herchet grew up as the son of a driver and a worker in modest circumstances. As a pupil he received Recorder (musical instrument), recorder and cello lessons, later piano and singing lessons. Already at that time he composed his first smaller compositions. From 1962 to 1965 he studied musical composition at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden with Johannes Paul Thilman and Manfred Weiss (composer), Manfred Weiss, cello with Clemens Dillner and piano with Ilse Brähmer. Jean-Luc Darbellay
Jean-Luc Darbellay (born 2 July 1946) is a Swiss composer, Conducting, conductor, clarinetist and physician. He was chairman of the Swiss Society for New Music and board member of the International Society for Contemporary Music. Darbellay is a member of the composers group: Groupe Lacroix. He has published about 150 works. He was awarded with the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Life and work Darbellay was born in Bern. Howard Arman (born 1954 in London) is an English choral conductor and opera director. He won the Handel Prize of the Handel Festival, Halle, in 1996, shaped the festival's orchestra and conducted operas of George Frideric Handel. Zacharias Hildebrandt
Zacharias Hildebrandt (1688, Münsterberg, Silesia – 11 October 1757, Dresden, Saxony) was a German organ builder. In 1714, his father Heinrich Hildebrandt, a cartwright master, apprenticed him to the famous organ builder Gottfried Silbermann, brother of Andreas Silbermann in Freiberg. In 1721, Hildebrandt finished his masterpiece, the organ of the Nikolaikirche of Langhennersdorf, a small village near Freiberg. Afterwards he built an organ in Störmthal near Leipzig (where befriended Johann Sebastian Bach) and from 1724 to 1726 an organ in Lengefeld. On this project, a dispute developed with Gottfried Silbermann, who treated him as a rival and sued him. Bachhaus Eisenach
The Bach House in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany, is a museum dedicated to the composer Johann Sebastian Bach who was born in the city. On its 600 m2 it displays around 250 original exhibits, among them a Bach music autograph. The core of the building complex is a half-timbered house, ca. 550 years old, which was mistakenly identified as Bach's birth house in the middle of the 19th century.
