Felix English
Felix English (born 11 October 1992) is a professional cyclist from Brighton who rides for Ireland. English rides on the road and on the track. As a junior, he won five British national titles until he decided in 2010 to represent Ireland, the home country of his parents. In September 2010, he set a new Irish Junior record during a track meeting in Apeldoorn, 1:07.9 over 1000 metres. At the 2010 UEC European Track Championships, English surprisingly defeated Sir Chris Hoy in the first round of the sprint event. In 2012, English won the fourth stage of the Irish Sea Tour of the North. Twice he started at UCI Road World Championships. In 2012, he became Irish National Criterium Champion. In the same year he started to ride for the ''UCI Continental Team'' Rapha Condor-JLT and also for the Irish national Team. 2017 UEC European Track Championships
The 2017 UEC European Track Championships was the eight edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Velodrom in Berlin, Germany, between 19 and 22 October 2017. The event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions were awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which could have been worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions. The 12 Olympic events (sprint, team sprint, team pursuit, keirin, madison and omnium for men and women), as well as 11 other events were on the program for these European Championships. The 2018–19 UCI Track Cycling World Cup (also known as the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a multi-race tournament over a track cycling season. It was the 27th series of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup organised by the UCI. It will be the first edition of the World Cup to feature para-cycling. Series On 12 February 2018 the UCI revealed the location and dates of the World Cup meetings for the season. Six rounds were scheduled in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France; Milton, Canada; Berlin, Germany; London, Great Britain; Cambridge, New Zealand and Hong Kong. It was the first time Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines hosting a round of World Cup. Mark Downey
Mark Downey (born 3 July 1996) is an Irish road and track cyclist, who currently rides for French amateur team Côtes d'Armor–Marie Morin–Véranda Rideau. As a junior he competed at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in the Men's junior time trial and also at the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in the Men's junior time trial. On the track he competed at the 2015 UEC European Track Championships in the points race and team pursuit. He won the gold medal at the 2016–17 UCI Track Cycling World Cup, Round 2 in Apeldoorn in the points race. He also won the third round of the World Cup points race held in Cali, Colombia following that event he picked up a silver in the madison with his teammate Felix English.
