Felix C. Antoine
Felix C. Antoine (c. 1839 – 1917) was a Louisiana state legislator during the Reconstruction-era. During the Civil War, he served as a second lieutenant in the 7th Louisiana Regiment Infantry. He served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1868 to 1872. He also served as harbor master in New Orleans and was a night inspector at its customs house. 7th Louisiana Regiment Infantry (African Descent)
The 7th Louisiana Regiment Infantry (African Descent) was a regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The regiment served in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas and mustered out March 13, 1866. Service in the District of Vicksburg The regiment was first organized and on duty in New Orleans, Louisiana for 60 days from July 10 to August 6, 1863. The regiment was organized once more at Memphis, Tennessee, Holly Springs, Mississippi and Island No.10, in December 1863 and was on post duty at Vicksburg until March 1864. The Louisiana House of Representatives (; ) is the lower house in the Louisiana State Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Louisiana. A harbourmaster (or harbormaster, see spelling differences) is an official responsible for enforcing the regulations of a particular harbour or port, in order to ensure the safety of navigation, the security of the harbour and the correct operation of the port facilities. Caesar Carpentier Antoine (c. 1836–1921) was a soldier, businessman, editor, and African-American Republican politician in Louisiana during the Reconstruction era. He served in the Union Army during the American Civil War and was a member of the Louisiana Senate before serving as Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana.
