Feilding High School
Feilding High School is a co-ed Secondary School (Year 9–13) in Feilding, New Zealand. It is the only secondary school in the town of Feilding. History The school was originally named the Feilding Technical High School and subsequently became known as the Feilding Agricultural High School (FAHS). The school's foundation stone was laid on 7 February 1921 by the then Minister for Education the Honourable James Parr (politician), James Parr. In 2000 the school had its name changed to FAHS Feilding High School. In 2015 Feilding High School was rated as having at Decile 5 socio-economic rating. In 2018 Nathan Stewart was appointed as principal of the school. Feilding
Feilding is a town in the Manawatū District of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on New Zealand State Highway 54, State Highway 54, 20 kilometres north of Palmerston North. The town is the seat of the Manawatū District Council. Feilding has won the annual New Zealand's Most Beautiful Town award 16 times. It is an Edwardian-themed town, with the district plan encouraging buildings in the CBD to be built in that style. The town is currently extending its CBD beautification featuring paving and planter boxes on the footpaths on the main streets in the CBD, including the realignment and beautification of Fergusson Street to the South Street entrance of Manfeild Park. Highlanders (rugby Union)
The Highlanders (; formerly the Otago Highlanders) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Dunedin that compete in Super Rugby. The team was formed in 1996 to represent the lower South Island in the newly formed Super 12 competition, and includes the Otago Rugby Football Union, Otago, North Otago Rugby Football Union, North Otago and Southland Rugby Football Union, Southland unions. The Highlanders take their name from the Scottish New Zealander, Scottish immigrants that founded the Otago, North Otago, and Southland, New Zealand, Southland regions in the 1840s and 1850s. Aaron Smith (rugby Union)
Aaron Luke Smith (born 21 November 1988) is a New Zealand professional rugby union player. A Scrum-half (rugby union), scrum half, Smith played for the Highlanders (rugby), Highlanders in Super Rugby where upon retirement in 2023 was the club's all time leader in caps, and for Manawatu Rugby Football Union, Manawatu in the ITM Cup. Sunwolves
The Sunwolves ( Japanese: ) – previously known as the HITO-Communications Sunwolves for sponsorship reasons – were a professional rugby union team and Japan's representative team in SANZAAR's international Super Rugby competition. The team was based in Tokyo, Japan, but also played some home matches in Singapore. They made their debut in Super Rugby in 2016. In March 2019, it was announced that 2020 would be the final season for the Sunwolves, after failing to negotiate a contract due to financial considerations. Western Force
The Western Force is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Perth, Western Australia, currently competing in Super Rugby, Super Rugby Pacific. They previously played in Super Rugby from 2006 until they were axed from the competition in 2017. Following their axing they played in the National Rugby Championship in 2018 and 2019, replacing the Perth Spirit, and Global Rapid Rugby from 2018 to 2020, an Indo-Pacific competition organised by Andrew Forrest. Semisi Masirewa
is a professional rugby union player who plays as a wing for Japan Rugby League One club Kintetsu Liners. Born in Fiji, he represents Japan at international level after qualifying on residency grounds. Club career Masirewa was born in Fiji, and moved to New Zealand in 2010 after receiving a scholarship to attend Wanganui High School. He went on to move to Feilding High School, following another scholarship, for his final year of education. After finishing school Masirewa moved North to the Waikato to join some family members. This came as a result of at the time the Manawatu union showed no interest in him. After playing eleven games for Waikato Masirewa was mainly involved in development squads. New Zealand National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The New Zealand national under-20 rugby union team, nicknamed the Baby Blacks, is the representative rugby union team from New Zealand. It replaced the two former age grade teams, the under-19s and the under-21s. Their first tournament was the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship, which they won after defeating England (38–3) in the final. They have gone on to also win the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2017. The New Zealand national rugby sevens team competes in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games. Sarah Hirini
Sarah Hirini (; born 9 December 1992) is a New Zealand women's rugby union player. She has played fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side rugby union, as a member of the New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team and New Zealand women's national rugby union team. Hirini was captain of the New Zealand Women's Sevens team that won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and back-to-back gold medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
