Fehérvári úti Stadion
Fehérvári úti Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Paks, Hungary. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Paksi FC. The stadium is able to hold 5,000 people. History On 21 January 2016, it was revealed that a new stadium will be built in Paks. The new stadium will be finished by the start of the 2016–17 Nmezeti bajnokság I season. János Süli, mayor of Paks, said that the reconstruction will start in May 2016 when the 2015–16 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season finished. The Hungarian state provided 800 million HUF, while the local government 600 million HUF for the reconstruction. Four new covered stands were built in 2018 and the capacity was increased to around 5,000 spectators. The reconstruction ended in 2020 and the first official match was played between Paks and Újpest FC on the first match day of the 2020-21 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season on 15 August 2020. Paks
Paks is a small town in Tolna county, in the south of Hungary, on the right bank of the Danube River, 100 km south of Budapest. Paks as a former agricultural settlement is now the home of the only Hungarian nuclear power plant, which provides about 40% of the country's electricity consumption. History The settlement was already inhabited in ancient times. It has played a role in the Ottoman Empire times and during Rákóczi's War of Independence. In the Budapest offensive in the final stages of the Second World War, Soviet troops occupied the town at great cost, followed by four decades of communist rule. Diósgyőr-Vasgyári Testgyakorlók Köre, more commonly Diósgyőri VTK () is a Hungarian sports club from Diósgyőr district of Miskolc best known for its football team. The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. Martin Ádám
Martin Ádám (born 6 November 1994) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Greek Super League club Asteras Tripolis and the Hungary national team. Club career While playing for Paks, Ádám became the top goalscorer of the 2021–22 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season with 31 goals, becoming the first player to score over 30 goals in the league since 1980. In July 2022, Ádám moved abroad for the first time in his career and signed for K League 1 team Ulsan Hyundai. Paksi FC (''Paks'') () is a Hungarian football club based in Paks. Since its founding in 1952, it has played at either a county or national level. In 2006, it ascended to '' Borsodi Liga'', or NB I, the top division in Hungarian football, for the first time. It plays its home games at Fehérvári úti Stadion. The team colors are green and white. In the 2010–11 Hungarian Division, the team finished second and qualified for the Europa League 2011–12 season.
