The Federalists () is a classical liberal and pro-Western political party in Georgia, founded by former members of European Georgia. Key figures in the party include Giga Bokeria, who has been serving as party chairman since 2024 and is a former Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia and Tamar Chergoleishvili, the founder of the online magazine Tabula. History On 1 August 2024, a majority of the European Georgia electoral list, chosen during the party's internal primary election, left the party, including key figures Giga Bokeria and Tamar Chergoleishvili. The split arose from disagreements with other key figures, Gigi Tsereteli and Akaki Bobokhidze over the primary results. Later, Chergoleishvili and Bokeria separately announced that the departing members would be forming a new political party. Giga Bokeria
Giorgi (Giga) Bokeria ( ka, გიორგი (გიგა) ბოკერია, born 20 April 1972 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian politician and was the secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia from November 2010 to November 2013. Career From 1989 to 1995, Bokeria was one of the leaders of various student movements, in particular an active member of the Press Club of Tbilisi State University.
