The Federal Ministry of Aviation is one of the Federal Ministries of Nigeria that regulates air travel and aviation services in Nigeria. The current Minister of Aviation is Festus Keyamo. He was appointed on 21 August 2023 by President Bola Tinubu. Organisation The ministry is responsible for formulation and management of the government's aviation policies in Nigeria. It is directly responsible for overseeing air transportation, airport development and maintenance, provision of aviation infrastructural services and other needs. Festus Egwarewa Keyamo (born 21 January 1970) is a Nigerian lawyer, columnist and human rights activist who serves as the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of Nigeria. In April 2018, Keyamo was appointed as the director of Strategic Communications of the 2019 re-election bid of President Buhariand later appointed minister of State for Labour and Employment. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu (born 29 March 1952) is a Nigerian politician serving as the 16th and current president of Nigeria since 2023. He previously served as the governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, and senator for Lagos West in the Third Republic.
