Limited Series (comics)
In the field of comic books, and particularly in the United States, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. In Dark Horse Comics' definition of a limited series, "this term primarily applies to a connected series of individual comic books. A limited series refers to a comic book series with a clear beginning, middle and end". Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics refer to limited series of two to eleven issues as miniseries and series of twelve issues or more as maxiseries, but other publishers alternate terms. Mark Sable
Mark A. Sable (born June 22, 1975) is an United States of America, American writer for stage, screen, and comic books. Biography Mark Sable is a writer for comics, film and television, best known for such creator-owned comics as Image Comics "Graveyard of Empires" and Boom! Studios "Unthinkable". Sable graduated cum laude with B.A. in English from Duke University, and received an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts as well as a J.D from The University of Southern California Law School. He also has a M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Sable started his comic book career in 2005, writing ''Grounded (comics), Grounded'' for Image Comics. In 2007, Sable followed up ''Grounded'' with ''Fearless (comics), Fearless'', also from Image. Co-written by Dave Roth and Illustrated by P. J. PJ Holden
Paul Jason Holden (born 28 December 1969) is a Northern Irish comic artist based in Belfast. He has worked for '' 2000 AD'', '' Warhammer Monthly'', and ''Judge Dredd Megazine''. Among other stories for these publications, he has provided the art for ''Rogue Trooper'', ''Judge Dredd'' and '' Johnny Woo''. Biography Holden was first published by Fantagraphics in 1997 (Holy Cross #3) with Malachy Coney, and he provided art for a story with Mike Carey from Caliber in 1997. Not professionally published again until ''2000 AD'' (''Judge Dredd'' "Sino-Cit") in 2001, he has been working professionally since. This work has included further stints on ''Judge Dredd'' and, most recently, becoming the main artist on '' The 86ers'', taking over for the third instalment of the first story.
