Sheikh Fazlul Karim
Sheikh Fazlul Karim (1882–1936; bn, শেখ ফজলুল করিম), also known by his daak naam Mona ( bn, মোনা), was a Bengali poet and writer. He was born in Lalmonirhat. Early life and education Sheikh Fazlul Karim was born on 30 Choitro 1289 BS (1882) to a Bengali Muslim family of Sardars in the village of Kakina Bazar which was then located in Lalmonirhat, Rangpur district, Bengal Presidency. Fazlul Karim (lawyer)
Fazlul Karim ( bn, ফজলুল করিম; September 14, 1905 – May 24, 1986) was a Bangladeshi lawyer, businessman, politician and soldier. He was the first mayor of Cox's Bazar. Early life Fazlul Karim was born in Harbang, a village in Cox's Bazar district in the province of Bengal, to Golam Quader Shikdar, a village leader and Feroza Begum on 14 September 1905. He was the elder son in a family of seven daughters and three sons. Fazlul was educated at the Harbang Union School and later moved to Government Muslim High School in Chittagong, from where he completed his matriculation. He had passed his Intermediate with science from Chittagong College and completed his B.A. and B.L. from Presidency College, Kolkata in 1923 and 1925 respectively. Sardar Fazlul Karim ( bn, সরদার ফজলুল করিম; 1 May 1925 – 15 June 2014) was a scholar, academic, philosopher and essayist in Bangladesh. Early life and family Sardar Fazlul Karim was born on 1 May 1925, to a lower middle class Bengali Muslim family of Sardars in the village of Atipara in Wazirpur located in the Backergunge District of the Bengal Presidency (present-day Barisal District, Bangladesh). Syed Muhammad Fazlul Karim ( bn, সৈয়দ মোহম্মদ ফজলুল করিম; 1935 – 25 November 2006) was an Islamic scholar and politician. He was the founder of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, and founded a residential madrassah in Charmonai, Barisal, southern Bangladesh. Early life and education Syed Muhammad Fazlul Karim was born in 1935, in the village of Charmonai in Barisal, Bengal Presidency, Bengal Province. He belonged to a Bengali Muslim family who were the hereditary ''Sufi pir, Pirs of Charmonai'', with his grandfather, Sayed Amjad Ali, being a descendant of Ali, the fourth Caliph of Islam. Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim (born 2 February 1949; better known as Sheikh Selim) is a Bangladeshi politician who is a Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Gopalganj-2 constituency since 1991. He is a member of the standing committee of Bangladesh Awami League party. He also served as the minister of Health and Family Welfare during 1999–2001. Early life Selim is the nephew of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former president of Bangladesh. He is the younger brother of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani founder of Jubo League.
