Jens Faurschou
Jens Faurschou (born 1960) is a Copenhagen-based art collector and art advisor. He is the founder of several art-related institutions, most notably the contemporary art institution, Faurschou Foundation. He is also founder of Copenhagen's centre for large-scale contemporary installation art, Copenhagen Contemporary, and co-founder of the Danish production company for virtual reality art, Khora Contemporary. He originally operated the commercial gallery, Galleri Faurschou (1986 - 2011), but decided to close the gallery in 2011 in order to open the non-commercial entity, Faurschou Foundation, which now has exhibition spaces in Copenhagen, Beijing and New York. Life and career Jens Faurschou was born on the island of Funen in the central part of Denmark. David Faurschou
David Faurschou (born January 28, 1956) is a politician in Manitoba, Canada. From 1997 to 2011, he was a member of the Manitoba legislature. Biography Faurschou was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, the eldest son of Ralph and Ella Faurschou. He has a diploma in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba, and a Professional Agronomist degree from the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists. He served as a summer student with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in The Pas and Arborg and in 1980, after graduation, returned to Portage and the family business. Faurschou served as vice president and general manager of Faurschou Farms Limited, and served on the Central Plains Farm Business Association. He was named Manitoba's Outstanding Young Farmer in 1995, and Canada's Outstanding Young Farmer in 1995. Jesper Faurschou
Jesper Lind Faurschou (born 1 July 1983) is a Danish athlete. He is a part of Herning Running Club, Herning Løbeklub, located in Herning. However, he is currently living in Århus. In 2007 he set a Danish record. He was the first ever to win 5 individual championships in one year – 10 km road, 4 km cross country, half marathon, 5000 metres and 10000 metres. In 2008 he participated in the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, the IAAF World Cross Country Championships (finishing in 127th), and the European Cross Country Championships. In 2009 he set yet another Danish record, being the first male to win the Winter Tournament three times in a row. The Winter Tournament is a series of 7 runs - either cross country running or road racing. In 2010, he finished in 29th at the European Championships.
