Mike "Prince Fatty" Pelanconi
Mike Pelanconi – better known by the musical alias Prince Fatty – is an Anglo-Italian record producer and audio engineer. Early life and career Pelanconi was born in the South East of England, to an English mother and Italian father. He spent much of his childhood in Italy, before moving to Brighton and then London as a teenager, ultimately working as a recording engineer in the music studios of Soho. In the late 1990s, then in his 20s, he moved to Los Angeles and worked with various hip-hop and soul acts, before returning to work in Europe. Origin of the Prince Fatty name In 2005, Stüssy created a clothing line inspired by the vivid styles of Jamaica to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Fatty and George is an Australian children's sci-fi television series from 1981 produced by the Tasmanian Film Corporation for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The series consisted of 10 episodes of 25-minute duration. The series follows the adventures of a brother and sister as they try to discover the whereabouts of their scientist father, whilst being pursued by an evil woman and her henchman. Synopsis Fatty and his sister George are two ordinary kids whose scientist father is experimenting with time travel. One day things go very wrong and he becomes trapped in a limbo-like dimension. The Bash Street Kids
''The Bash Street Kids'' is a comic strip in the British comic magazine '' The Beano''. It also appeared briefly in The Wizard as series of prose stories in 1955. The strip, created by Leo Baxendale as ''When the Bell Rings!'', first appeared in issue 604. It became ''The Bash Street Kids'' in 1956 and has become a regular feature, appearing in every issue. From 1962, until his death in 2023, David Sutherland drew over 3000 strips in his time as illustrator. History Like many long-running UK comic strips, ''The Bash Street Kids'' is mostly frozen in the era when it began. It portrays Class 2B of the Bash Street School in Beanotown, where the teacher and headmaster wear gowns and the pupils sit at wood desks with inkwells. ''The Beano'' is a British anthology comic magazine created by Scottish publishing company DC Thomson. ''The Beano'' has featured comedic strips, adventure strips, and prose stories. Prose stories were, however, phased out in 1955 and adventure strips were phased out in 1975 – the last one being '' General Jumbo''. The longest-running strip in ''The Beano'', originally titled '' Dennis the Menace'' (currently titled ''Dennis and Gnasher''), first appeared in 1951. ''Fatty Finn'' was a popular long-run Australian comic strip series, created in 1923 by Syd Nicholls. It ran in Syndication agency, syndication until the creator's death in 1977. History In 1923 Syd Nicholls, a senior artist at Sydney's ''Evening News'', was asked by managing editor, Errol Knox, to produce a Sunday comic strip to compete with a popular strip in the rival ''Sunday Times'', the hugely popular ''Ginger Meggs, Us Fellers'', produced by Jimmy Bancks. Knox reportedly requested a "domestic strip" stating that "The Sunday Times and Sunday Sun are both running a colour comic and we have to do something to compete".
