Fatma Aly
Fatma Aly (born February 3, 1997, in Alexandira) is an Egyptian basketball player who is playing center for Al Ittihad and Egypt women's national basketball team. Career history Fatma Aly first represented Egypt in 2013 when she was called to the national youth team to play FIBA U16 women's African Championship. She was part of the national youth team that plays 2014 FIBA U17 women's African championship, 2014 Afrobasket U18 women and 2015 FIBA U19 women's world championship. She was again called to the senior national team in 2015 during 2015 women's Afrobasket, 2019 FIBA women's Afrobasket, 2023 FIBA women's Afrobasket-Qualifiers and 2023 women's Afrobasket The 2023 AfroBasket Women was the 28th edition of the tournament and held from 28 July to 5 August 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship
The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup is an international association football tournament, organized by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), for national teams of women under the age of 20. The tournament is held in even-numbered years. It was first held in 2002 as the FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship with an upper age limit of 19. In 2006, the age limit was raised to the current 20. The 2023 AfroBasket Women was the 28th edition of the tournament and held from 28 July to 5 August 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda. Nigeria won their fourth consecutive and sixth overall title after defeating Senegal in the final. Format The 12 teams were split into four groups of three teams. The first-placed team qualified to the quarterfinals while the other two teams played in a playoff round. A second-placed team faced off against a third-placed team and vice versa. A knockout-system was used after the preliminary round and the losing teams of the quarterfinals were playing classification games while the winners played out the champion.
