Fatima Tahir
Fatima Ja’afar Tahir (born 8 February 1966) is a Nigerian Professor of Microbiology and the Vice-Chancellor of Bauchi State University since 2022. She was Acting Vice-Chancellor at the Nigerian Army University Biu, Borno State and widely recognized as the first female Professor of Microbiology to be produced by Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi State. Early life Fatima Tahir was born on 8 February 1966, into the family of Alhaji Ja’afar Tahir. She is the younger sister of late Dr. Ibrahim Tahir. Education Tahir obtained her first degree in microbiology from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) is a federal university of technology located in Bauchi (city), Bauchi, north eastern part of Nigeria. The university is named after Nigeria's first and only Prime Minister, prime minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa. Ibrahim Tahir
Ibrahim Tahir (died December 9, 2009) was a Nigerian sociologist, writer, and politician during the Second Republic and a prominent member of the Kaduna Mafia. Prior to his entry into politics, he was a sociologist who was renowned for his traditionalist conservative views. Life Tahir was born in Tafawa Balewa, and received his early education at Kobi Primary School. In 1954, he attended Barewa College graduating in 1958. He then proceeded to King's College, Cambridge on a regional government scholarship where he earned a bachelor's and doctorate degree in social anthropology.
