Fatima Zahra Tagnaout ( ar, فاطمة الزهراء تاكناوت; born 20 January 1999) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for AS FAR and the Morocco women's national team. Club career Tagnaout has played for ASFAR in Morocco since she was 15. She has won 8 Championships and 6 Throne Cups. Tagnaout played in the inaugural CAF Women's Champions League which took place in Egypt in 2021. She participated in all of the games. She recorded a goal in the third-place match and provided several assists throughout the tournament. She was named to the Team of the Tournament. She was chosen by the CAF Awards Committee as a finalist for the African Club Player of the Year 2022 but did not win the award. Morocco hosted the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League. The Morocco women's national football team ( ar, منتخب المغرب لكرة القدم للسيدات, french: Équipe du Maroc féminine de football) represents Morocco in international women's football and is controlled by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. The team played its first international match in 1998, as part of the third Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The traditional rivals of Morocco are mainly Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organisation that chronicles the history and records of association football. It was founded in 1984 by Alfredo Pöge in Leipzig. The IFFHS was based in Abu Dhabi for some time but, in 2010, relocated to Bonn, Germany, and then in 2014 to Zürich. 2023 CAF Women's Champions League
The 2023 CAF Women's Champions League was the 3rd edition of the annual African women's association football club tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football, it was hosted by Ivory Coast from 5 to 19 November 2023. The winners of this edition will automatically qualify for the group stage of the following edition of the tournament. The qualification draw was conducted on 5 July 2023 at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Rabat, Morocco. AS FAR are the defending champions. The UNAF Women's Club Tournament ( ar, دورة إتحاد شمال إفريقيا للأندية للسيدات) is an international club women's association football club competition run by the Union of North African Football Federations (UNAF). Temara ( ar, تمارة; ber, ⵜⵎⴰⵔⴰ) is a coastal city in Morocco.Location information. It is located in the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, directly south of Rabat on the Atlantic coast, in the suburban area of the capital.
