Fatemeh Hosseini
Sayyideh Fatemeh Hosseini ( fa, سیده فاطمه حسینی, born 1 April 1985) is an Iranian Reformist politician. She was a member of the Parliament of Iran, representing Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr, from 2016 to 2020. Hosseini was the youngest member of the 10th Parliament of Iran. She is daughter of Safdar Hosseini Safdar Hosseini ( fa, صفدر حسینی; born 1954) is an Iranian academic and politician, who has served in various cabinet posts. ''Sayyid'' (, ; ar, سيد ; ; meaning 'sir', 'Lord', 'Master'; Arabic plural: ; feminine: ; ) is a surname of people descending from the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of Muhammad's daughter Fatima and his cousin and son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib). 2016 Iranian Legislative Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Iran on 26 February 2016 to elect members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly for all seats in the 10th parliament in the Islamic Republic era and the 34th since the Persian Constitutional Revolution. A second round was held on 29 April 2016 for some constituencies where candidates failed to obtain the required minimum 25 percent of votes cast. The 10th Islamic Consultative Assembly was the 34th Parliament of Iran that commenced on 28 May 2016 following the legislative elections on 26 February and 29 April 2016 and ended on 26 May 2020.
