Farscape (comics)
''Farscape'' is an Australian-American Science fiction on television, science fiction television series conceived by Rockne S. O'Bannon and produced by The Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment, originally for the Nine Network. It premiered in North America on the Sci-Fi Channel's ''SciFi Friday'' segment on 19 March 1999 (at 8:00 pm EST), as the network's anchor series. The Jim Henson Company is credited with the many Extraterrestrial life, alien looks, make-up and Prosthetic makeup, prosthetics; two regular characters on the show, the Animatronics, animatronic puppets Rygel and Pilot, were entirely Henson Creature Shop creations. Although the series was planned for five seasons, it was abruptly cancelled after production had ended on its fourth season, thus finishing the series on a cliffhanger. Jonathan Hardy
Jonathan Hardy (20 September 1940 – 30 July 2012) was a New Zealand-Australian film and television actor, writer and director. Early career Hardy was born in Wellington and began his training at the New Zealand Players' Drama School. He traveled to Britain, where he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and was a gold medal student. This brought interest from the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre where he secured contracts. He returned to his home of New Zealand in a touring production of ''The Comedy of Errors'' with the Royal Shakespeare Company (1966) and remained to help expand the country's theatre industry. He immigrated to Australia in 1972. Career Hardy had a career for over 40 years (1972 –2012). Halcyon Studios, LLC, formerly known as Sonar Entertainment, RHI Entertainment, Hallmark Entertainment, Qintex Entertainment, HRI Group and Robert Halmi Inc., was an American entertainment company specializing in the production and distribution of scripted television content, part of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment. Science fiction first appeared in television programming in the late 1930s, during what is called the Golden Age of Science Fiction. Special effects and other production techniques allow creators to present a living visual image of an imaginary world not limited by the constraints of reality. The Peacekeeper Wars
''Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars'' is a military science fiction television miniseries written by Rockne S. O'Bannon and David Kemper (writer), David Kemper and directed by Brian Henson. Following the Farscape, original series' cancellation in September 2002, it aimed to wrap up the cliffhanger and tie up some elements of the series in general. It was broadcast on 17 and 18 October 2004. Henson and others have attributed the return of ''Farscape'' to the ongoing campaign of fans. Production began in December 2003. In May 2004 the SyFy, Sci-Fi Channel, now owned by NBC Universal, announced that it would run a two-episode conclusion titled ''Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars''. Henson refers to the three hours as episodes 4.23–4.26, though the New South Wales Film Office refers to the production as a "2 × 2 hour telemovie" (including commercials).
