''Farma 11 - East vs West'' is the 11th season of the Slovak version of ''The Farm'' reality television show based on the Swedish television series of the same name. Format Sixteen contestants are chosen from the outside world. This year twist is East Slovakia vs West Slovakia. In each team there are eight contestant. Followed first few weeks another four contestant joined cast. After 6th week, contestants are merged into one group. In first six weeks each group nominated one person who will compete in Farmer of the Week challenge. Since week 7, the Farmer is chosen by the contestant evicted in the previous week. Markíza (also known as Televízia Markíza) is a Slovak television channel launched on August 31, 1996. The channel was founded by a later politician Pavol Rusko, and is now part of the Central European Media Enterprises (CME). It also operates television channels Doma (since 2009), Dajto (since 2012), Markíza International (since 2016), Markíza KRIMI (since 2022) and Markíza Klasik (since 2024). Poprad
Poprad (; ; ) is a city in northern Slovakia at the foot of the High Tatras, High Tatra Mountains, famous for its picturesque historic centre and as a holiday resort. Dunajská Lužná
Dunajská Lužná () is a municipality (village) in the Bratislava Region of western Slovakia in Senec District. Dunajská Lužná lies approximately 15 km from the capital city of Bratislava towards Dunajská Streda and Komárno. It was founded on 1 January 1974 consisting of three formerly separate villages – ''Nové Košariská'' (, ), ''Jánošíková'' (, ) and ''Nová Lipnica'' (, ). Dunajská Lužná belongs to the vicinity of Bratislava. There is increasing building activity because of new inhabitants coming from Bratislava or other cities. Holíč
Holíč (until 1946 "Holič", , ) is a town in western Slovakia. History The oldest archaeological findings in the area date from the Neolithic, and there are findings from the Bronze Age, Iron Age and the Roman time. The town was first mentioned in 1205 as ''Wywar'', meaning "New Castle". The Árpád dynasty built a stone castle after the Mongol invasion in 1241. From the 13th century until 1296, Holíč was the seat of a border comitatus. Among the owners of the town were Matthew III Csák, Matthias Csák and Stibor of Stiboricz, Stibor of Stiborice. In the 15th century the town's development was slowed by the Hussites, Hussite raids. In 1736 the town was bought by Franz I, Holy Roman Emperor, husband of Maria Theresa and manufactures were built, leading to the town's growth. Modra
Modra (, , Latin: ''Modur'') is a city and municipality in the Bratislava Region in Slovakia. It has a population of 9,201 as of 2013. It nestles in the foothills of the Malé Karpaty (Little Carpathian mountains) and is an excellent centre for hiking. Modra is famous for its pottery industry. Andrejová
Andrejová (, , ) is a village and municipality in Bardejov District in the Prešov Region of Slovakia. The predominant religion is the Greek Catholic Church with 4.9% Eastern Orthodox. The Catholic Church of Virgin Mary the Protectrice of 1893 can be found in the village. The village lies at an altitude of 325 metres and covers an area of 11.679 km2. Veľké Kapušany
Veľké Kapušany (; ) is a small town on the eastern plains of Slovakia, not far from the Ukrainian border. Name The name "Kapušany" is probably derived from the Hungarian word ''kapu'', meaning "gate". History The territory of the town has been settled since time immemorial (findings from the Neolithic period). From the second half of the 10th century until 1918, it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary. The first written references to the settlement stems from 1211 ("Kapos") and 1214 ("Copus"). The settlement was awarded town status in 1430.
