Farense
Sporting Clube Farense, simply known as Farense, is a Portuguese professional football club based in Faro in the district of the same name and the region of Algarve. Founded in 1910, the club will play the 2021–22 season in the Liga Portugal 2 after relegation from the Primeira Liga. History In its entire history, the club has won nine major trophies: the AF Algarve Championship five times, the Segunda Divisão twice, and the Terceira Divisão and AF Algarve First Division once. Aside from its major trophies, the club as of 2013, has played 23 seasons in the Primeira Liga of which their highest league table classification came in the 1994–95 season where they managed a fifth-place finish. 2019–20 LigaPro
The 2019–20 LigaPro was the 30th season of Portuguese football's second-tier league, and the sixth season under the current LigaPro title. A total of 18 teams competed in this division, including reserve sides from top-flight Primeira Liga teams. On 12 March 2020, the LPFP suspended the league until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal. On 5 May, the LPFP announced the league would be abandoned, with Farense and Nacional being promoted to the Primeira Liga, while Casa Pia and Cova da Piedade would be relegated to the Campeonato de Portugal in 2020–21. On 29 July, the Portuguese Football Federation announced that the 2019–20 Primeira Liga teams Vitória de Setúbal and Aves would be punished with direct relegation to the Campeonato de Portugal, after failing to provide valid licensing documentation to compete in the professional leagues. The 2021–22 Liga Portugal 2, also known as Liga Portugal SABSEG for sponsorship reasons, was the 32nd season of Portuguese football's second-tier league, and the second season under the current Liga Portugal 2 title. The 2001–02 Primeira Liga was the 68th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 11 August 2001 with a match between Varzim and Benfica, and ended on 6 May 2002. The league was contested by 18 clubs with Boavista as the defending champions. Sporting CP won the league and qualified for the 2002–03 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, along with Boavista, who qualified for the second round. Porto and Leixões from the third division qualified for the 2002–03 UEFA Cup; in opposite, Salgueiros, Farense and Alverca were relegated to the Segunda Liga. Vasco Manuel Vilhena Faísca Teixeira (born 27 August 1980), known as Faísca, is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a defender, currently a manager. He spent the vast majority of his professional career in Italy after starting out at Sporting CP, representing in the country Vicenza, Padova and Ascoli and appearing in one Serie A match with the first club. Sérgio Agostinho de Oliveira Vieira (born 15 January 1983) is a Portuguese football manager, who manages Liga Portugal 2 club C.F. Estrela da Amadora. Hassan Nader ( ar, حسن ناظر; born 8 July 1965) is a Moroccan former footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his 21-year senior career in Portugal – amassing Primeira Liga totals of 219 matches and 94 goals – mainly with Farense, where he surpassed the 100-goal mark in official games.
