Beat (pronounced bay-at) Kaestli is a Swiss singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer. Music career After receiving a scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music in 1993, he moved from his native Switzerland to New York City. He supported himself as a session singer, backing Barbara Tucker and Inaya Day, and working with Linda Hopkins on the world tour of the Harlem Gospel Show. ''A Time for Singing'' is a musical with music by John Morris, lyrics by Gerald Freedman and John Morris, and a book by Freedman and Morris. The work was based on Richard Llewellyn's novel of a Welsh mining village, ''How Green Was My Valley''. ''Far from Home'' is the eighth and final studio album by the rock band Traffic. The project began as a revival of the writing collaboration between Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi, but soon blossomed into the first Traffic project since 1974. Recording The album was recorded in Woodstock, Kilcoole near Dublin, Ireland and mixed at the Chateau Miraval in Correns, southern France. Though the subsequent tour would feature a full band, this album features Winwood playing all of the instruments and singing all the vocals, with the exception of Capaldi's drums and backing vocals, Davy Spillane's Uilleann pipes on "Holy Ground", and recording engineer Mick Dolan's rhythm guitar on "Nowhere Is Their Freedom" and programming on the Akai S1000. DeeExpus is a melodic progressive rock group from North East England whose debut album, '' Half Way Home'' was released by DXP Productions in 2008, garnering fan buzz and enthusiastic reviews from around the world. FFH (band)
FFH, also known as Far from Home, are an American contemporary Christian band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1993, FFH released six independent projects before being signed by Essential Records. Since then, they have released seven studio albums, as well as a "greatest-hits" album. Background The group formed as Four for Harmony, an a cappella group. Over time they developed a vocal acoustic pop style, similar to that of Avalon, and changed their name to Far from Home.
