Far Cry (film)
''Far Cry'' is a 2008 English-language German action film loosely adapted from the video game of the same name. The film is directed by Uwe Boll and stars Til Schweiger. It was a major box-office bomb and received negative reviews. Plot On a remote island off the North American coast, a mercenary squad is attacked and slaughtered by a lone aggressor during a nighttime operation. Uwe Boll
Uwe Boll (; born 22 June 1965) is a German filmmaker. He came to prominence during the 2000s for his adaptations of video game franchises. Released theatrically, the films were critical and commercial failures; his Alone in the Dark (2005 film), 2005 ''Alone in the Dark'' adaptation is considered List of films considered the worst, one of the worst films ever made. Boll's subsequent projects, released during the 2010s, were mostly released direct-to-video. After retiring in 2016 to become a restaurateur, Boll returned to filmmaking in 2022.
