Fantastic Summer
''Fantastic Summer'' is a 1955 British television play based on a novel by Dorothy Macardle adapted by Barry Learoyd. It was Marilyn James' first television appearance. It was also Fay Compton's "first full scale TV appearance" since ''The Foolish Gentleman'' in 1953. Compton called the script "exceptionally good." Mairlyn James broke her ankle during filming after she tripped over a cable, but she continued the performance without the audience being aware. BBC Television is a service of the BBC.
